Safety Supervisor
Scope of Work
To enhance frontline safety support in operational areas. Their role is to ensure effective implementation of the safety controls and provide immediate response to any major incidents during the mentioned timing.
Objectives
The main objective is to provide coverage in the hot spot areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and directly supervised contractors working in operational areas. This will include but not limited monitoring conditions, providing guidance, conducting inspections, and implementing safety measures.

The appointment will be for a period of one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to review.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and enforce safety protocols across the designated areas of operation.Implement and support the heat stress intervention plan.Conduct regular safety inspections.Respond to any safety incidents or emergencies.Provide safety training and guidance to employees.Maintain accurate safety records and reports.Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive safety coverage.Coordinating with site operation leads or shift supervisors to align on work planning under h conditions.Participate in toolbox talks or pre-job briefings as required.Highlight any gaps or improvement areas on daily basis to shift head or shift supervisor.Ensure hydration stations are accessible and stocked, timely collection of samples.
Key DeliverablesConduct regular site rounds in high-risk areas (e.g., potrooms, baking furnaces, outdoor operational zones, etc) or in accordance with heat mapping.Weekly focused inspection based on trend or heat map.Incident and emergency response doentation.Prepare and issue weekly summary report of “Heat stress intervention plan”.Conduct onsite beat the heat awareness session, special attention to new employees, workforce return after leaveIdentifying and reporting early symptoms of heat stress.Conducting daily inspections of welfare facilities including amenities, rest areas, cool rooms, etc.
Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations of Manufacturing facility.Experience with heat stress intervention measures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Adequate knowledge and experience about occupational health and hygiene, with the ability to identify, evaluate and control workplace health hazards including physical, chemical and ergonomics risks.Have Adequate knowledge, experience to support Internal, External Audits, ISO Management systems AuditsHolding IO IGC certification (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent will be preferable)Minimum 3 years in HSE field
